Career Determination using Intuitionistic Fuzzy Multisets Approach

Abstract


Career determination is a decision making problem with a great deal of uncertainties. Intuitionistic fuzzy multiset provides a model to elaborate these uncertainties and vagueness involve in decision making. In this paper, we give a lucid note on intuitionistic fuzzy multiset and propose its application to careers determination using quasi-real database. In order to achieve this, a set of career courses and their academic requirements are assumed, and also we assume a set of students sat for examinations thrice to determine their performances to enhance their choice of the career courses with respect to the careers’ academic requirements in the context of IFMSs. Solution is obtained by looking for the smallest distance between each student and each career via normalized Hamming distance measure.
